If the applicant is found to be staying in Denmark for more than 90 days, that is even after the visa has expired or if the visa holder attempts to use their temporary stay to get long-term or permanent residency in Denmark, then a penalty period of maximum 5 years will be imposed on them, which will deny you to obtain any visa to visit Denmark.

Gather documentation

Gather the following documents before applying for the Denmark Visitor visa.

Invitation from Danish host, which could be in the form of an invitation ID or a printed invitation form, which must be submitted by the host as online application.

Travel insurance that necessarily covers the complete Schengen region and which should be valid for the valid duration of applicant’s stay. The minimum coverage for the travel insurance should be 30,000 Euros.

A valid passport or other travel documents.

A passport sized photograph.

Other relevant documentation, which includes reason for your trip, proof about availability of accommodation, proof of funds to cover your travel expenses. This also includes submitting information that will provide enough assurance to Immigration Authorities that you will leave the Schengen region as soon as your visa will expire.

Other than these, the diplomatic mission can also request you to present further documentation, multiple copies of passport photographs and copies of application. Submit application

You will be required to appear in person to submit your Visitor visa application.
You can submit your visa application in your own country of residence. However, you can also submit it in any other country if residing there legally. However, you would be required to present a valid reason for not submitting the visa application in your country.
